I took Liz’s pregnancy photos just a couple of months ago, and now I’m happy to followup that post with pictures of her beautiful baby girl. This stunning little one is a perfect match to her two beautiful older siblings, and of course, their gorgeous mother.
Since her daughters were on a break from school, I had the opportunity photograph all three and turned the baby portrait session into an all female family session.

Liz is one of my closest friends and within the first few moments after she told me she was pregnant, I began to get excited for the day I would take her maternity photos. Just look at how beautiful she is and you’ll immediately understand why!
It took me quite a while to make friends in Delaware after moving here from Maryland. Our daughters attended school together in Wilmington and almost an entire school year passed before we finally spoke more than a smiley hello to one another. However, soon after one of our first conversations, we quickly realized that we just… cliqued! I am very lucky to call her a “friend”.
I can’t wait to meet her beautiful new baby girl who has two big sisters excitedly waiting for her arrival.

Jessie & Art chose Wyoming, Delaware near Dover, for their fall engagement photos. They first mentioned Wyoming Mill Pond, but after driving around the area for a bit, I passed by Fifer Orchards and was quickly excited by all of the beautiful color and sunlight beaming through the exhausted peach trees. I am so thankful to the people at Fifer Orchards for allowing me to shoot these photos on their property.
The setting couldn’t have been a more perfect for the fall backdrop that Jessie & Art were hoping for!

I had a great time taking photos of the “T” family one hot summer day at Longwood Gardens – one of my favorite locations to take portraits!! It was such a scorcher that morning that the staff at Longwood were actually giving out free water! Thank goodness for these two beautiful, sweet children and their easy going temperaments.
Miss T & Mr T’s reward for being such good subjects was a jaunt around the cool water-play area of the children’s garden at Longwood.
Thank you to their mom for letting me spend so much time to make sure I got all of the photos we needed!!

I feel so lucky that Rebecca and Tim chose Rocks State Park as the location for their engagement photos in early spring of this year. I had never been to this location or even heard of it before Rebecca asked that their photos be taken there. Not only is it gorgeous, but the area is important to Rebecca because she spent a lot of time there when she was younger. In fact, if it weren’t for Rebecca’s efforts, this local treasure wouldn’t be a part of the Maryland State Park system. Rebecca, along with other students in her school, helped fund the purchase of this land by the state, which prevented the area from potentially being turned into a development. Could you imagine this beautiful waterfall becoming a part of some neighborhood’s community property? The waterfall and the nearby “King and Queen Seat” can also be seen in the movie “Tuck Everlasting.”
This was a very adventuresome engagement shoot. We hiked quite a way to get to the falls and in trying to get -below- the falls, we had to cross a tree that had fallen over the river. We even passed a few snakes along the way (I saw -one-… but I know there must have been more!! hah!!)

Trisha and Brandon requested Gunpowder Falls State Park in Maryland as the location for their Fall engagement shoot. From these engagement portraits set against a colorful fall backdrop, we created an the engagement album / wedding guestbook they used during their reception. The wonderful thing about using an engagement album as wedding guestbook is that wedding guests sign the album much like you would a high school yearbook. Instead of merely a book of signatures, you get a book filled with beautiful sentiments and well wishes from your friends and family. This keepsake is something you’ll be more likely to put on your coffee table and reminisce with throughout the years than would be done with a traditional signature based guestbook.

I will be photographing Melissa and Will’s wedding this November, and they chose Old New Castle as the location for their engagement session. I love this little town so much because of the rich history surrounding so many of the buildings. This is the town where William Penn first landed in ‘The New World.’ In fact, the anniversary of his landing is right around the corner – October 27, 1682. Since I first moved to the Mid-Atlantic area around 11 years ago, Old New Castle has always been one of my favorite local treasures to explore.
One of my favorite parts of our day – perfect for Halloween – was this creepy decoration staring out onto the street below. Thanks to Melissa and Will for letting me indulge in a little of my macabre sense of humor.
I can’t wait to see how beautiful Melissa looks on her wedding day!!

I met Crystal and Dan at Trisha and Brandon’s wedding in May. I’m so excited that they hired me to be the photographer for their wedding in 2011!
Crystal and Dan chose Baltimore for their engagement portrait location and Crystal mentioned wanting photos in front of the “LOVE” letters at the American Visionary Art Museum. While searching around online to check the place out, I learned about the Baltimore Love Project, so before we headed to the museum, we took a few photos in front a Baltimore Love Project wall. It was just a “lovely” day all around.
I’m so lucky to have a wonderful husband who was willing to tag along and carry some stuff for me – most importantly, my lights, so that I could try out a few new things. I am very happy with how the off camera flash wall photos turned out! I hope my vision is what Crystal hoped for when requesting this location!
